Hunting Wyverns on the Waltun Plain

This piece is based on the fantasy world I've been developing as a hobby. It shows a Waltunese knight mounted on an armoured nozeros fighting a wyvern, which have become dangerous pests on the Waltun plain.

Wyverns are venomous flying reptiles commonly seen across the Waltun Plain and Spinal Mountains. They are highly aggressive and use a deadly stinger to subdue large prey such as nozeros and, rarely, mollymaunts. While often considered a lesser variety of dragon, wyverns and dragons are only distantly related, having developed wings separately. Wyverns have lost their ancestral third pair of limbs, fold their wings at their sides when in rest (unlike dragons, which hold theirs vertically), and lack the sentience of their distant cousins. The Waltunese coat of arms features a wyvern and horned nozeros locked in combat.
